On the heels of their March 2022 LP Heavy Light, Beau Jennings & The Tigers return with a new rock and roll single, ‘I’ve Got Your Heart Right Here’.

The track finds Beau & The Tigers expanding on their americana-meets-modern indie rock sound to bring in elements of pop (and perhaps a hint of shoegaze) while singing about life’s narrowing focus as time progresses and priorities change.

“I wanna be with my girl / I wanna be with the kids / I wanna play with the band / I wanna write some hits” Jennings sings to kick off the song. “I’d been reading about how other authors approach writing and I came across this very simple, but to me profound, piece of advice. Which was to write down one true statement. And after that, to just that write down another. It was very beautiful and clear to me, a great palette cleanser in a way, and it allowed me to not try and write a song that is a perfect follow up to anything from before and instead just capture what’s true today” says Jennings of the track.

‘I’ve Got Your Heart Right’ here was recorded and produced by Chad Copelin (Ben Rector, BRONCHO, Sufjan Stevens), who produced Jennings first albums with his band Cheyenne. “Working with Chad is always great, kind of like riding a bike in that we actually talk very little about the song as we are working. We’ve done a lot together in years past that I think we have a pretty good sense of what we’re both after that doesn’t require much explaining” Jennings says.
